Hataraku Maou-sama! Episode 13! [Review]

Original Review Date: June 29 2013

The final episode, Episode 13 ヾ(*д*)ノ゛

The ending for this episode was indicating an open ending. Which means that their are high chances that their would be a second season for this series. Though, the episode itself was good. It was more like an OVA.

Basically, this episode is about Urushihara (Lucifer) messing up, again. The tracking devices that he had bought had cost a lot of money. Resulting them into having a huge debt. Maou then sets out to get that high amount of money from working at a different location. The problem being is that he needs to keep this as a secret from Emilia and Chiho. This results in Chiho having a thought that Maou was planning to go back to his home realm, Ente Isla. While Emilia had this thought that he was planning to do evil. Though, this secret was short lived, because both Emilia and Chiho found out about it when they had attempted to spy on Maou.

To make matters worse, they end up getting trapped in this scam. Basically, Urushihara ends up buying random items from a business, in which he signs a contract with them. Which makes it impossible for them to return the items and to also pay off the debt.

At the end, Emilia ends up helping Maou get out of the situation. Because apparently, Lucifer is a minor (as he was registered below 18) and that he can't sign a contract without a guardian. So, the items that he had bought during that time gets returned back (The business involving the scam is actually the one Ashiya was working at, in order to repay the huge debt). To also mention, that they also didn't end up going back to Ente Isla.

The ending song in this episode was different from all the other episodes. However, right after the credits. Maou was runs and waits at the pedestrian lane. He gets wet from the rain and had no umbrella. Emilia ends up coming in and hands him an umbrella. In which in return, Maou gives thanks along with Emilia giving a smile and blushes.

I really want to see more of the show! The characters are very like-able and I love how they interact to each other. There’s no single category the series really fits comfortably into, making it one of the best balanced series.

I really hoped that this series is getting a second season sooner or later!ヾ(*´∇`)ノ

[This scene in the screenshot made me laugh so much! Seriously Maou? Greenland?! ヾ(´▽`;)ゝ]
